Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Crowdar ("we", "us") is a social app for sports fans. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Crowdar mobile app and the crowdar.app website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the username you choose in the app.
  • Location. When you check in at a pub or stadium, we use your device's location (with your permission, only while you're using the app) to find nearby venues and record your check-in. We do not track your location in the background.
  • Content you create. Check-ins, chat messages, and your season activity (matches attended, leaderboard stats).
  • Push tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
  • Website analytics. The crowdar.app website uses Google Analytics to understand visitor traffic. The mobile app does not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use your information

  • To provide the app: check-ins, chat, leaderboards, and the live map.
  • To show your activity to other fans, according to your visibility settings.
  • To send you notifications you've opted into.
  • To keep the service safe and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

Your controls

  • Visibility. You control who can see your check-ins, your leaderboard presence, and who can message you, from the app's privacy settings.
  • Location. Location access is optional and only requested when you check in. You can revoke it in your device settings.
  • Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at crowdarapp@gmail.com.

Data storage and retention

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep it longer by law.

Children

Crowdar is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top.
